So dramatic was the remodeling of this property that only the position of the staircase remained unchanged. The house was extended to the side and rear, and a basement was excavated across the entire footprint of the site. The reconfiguration increased the internal area by 1200 sq ft, creating space for a new kitchen, dining area, living room and double-height courtyard. The living room features a glass floor that allows light entering through the glass pitched roof to continue onwards into the lower-ground floor kitchen space. This client has amazing energy and despite professional and family demands still managed to realise their vision of a luxury home. We have become a great team and recently finished another house with them in Glebe Place. We can’t wait for the next one!
